Pilot Doorbell Camera Safety Project

Thank you for your interest in the Akron City Countil Pilot Doorbell Camera Safety Project. As a crime deterrent, the Doorbell Camera will provide recipients with added visibility into neighborhoods and help protect your home from package theft and burglary. The Ring Camera and accompanying app function as a neighborhood watch and provide residents with the ability to share video and/or photos of criminal activities across the platform.  The eligible zip codes in Wards 3 4, and 5 were selected based on the 2022 crime hotspot map provided by the Akron Police Department.

Please complete the following application in its entirety. If you are a renter, the Attestation Form signed by your landlord must accompany your application to receive consideration.  There is a limit of one camera per home.  Thank you.
